Why a Day Dedicated to Play?

Did you know that 97% of kids think play is super important? That’s almost everyone! But, according to the International Day of Play Network, one in three kids don’t have enough time to play. That’s like a world without snuggles or ice cream! So, we're here to say it’s time to bring play back into our lives, loud and proud!

To all the grown-ups and big decision-makers out there, listen up! 📢 We need you to:

• INVEST in children’s well-being by protecting our right to play.
• PROVIDE children with more time and opportunities to play, including in school.
• PROTECT our right to play by creating safe and accessible places to play, including for those of us with special needs.

• SUPPORT us in developing social skills through play.
